ESIGELEC in partnership with the ESIG'GREEN student association organised a photo competition from 20 to April 24,2015 and an exhibition of the 10 best on the theme of "animals". The panels containing the 3 pillars and 4 fundamental principles of sustainable development, explaining the concept of circuits and national "consumer" initiatives, the green plan, etc. were also exhibited in the school until late June. This exhibition (photos & panels) was mentioned in the official programme of the European sustainable development week on the website of the Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy: A first for ESIGELEC.

A contest open to PICs (Initiative and Creativity Projects) and PINGs (Engineering Projects) related to sustainable development has also been launched. The projects have been evaluated in terms of their innovation, relevance, presentation and the number of pillars and fundamental principles of sustainable development present. Each group should also create a display and exhibit the material used during their project.

7 projects have been presented :

• Esig’je découvrais le monde sauvage (Award winning project) : Developing the imagination of children through artistic activities, by raising awareness of biodiversity.
• Optimum Solar : Developing a digital application accessible on different platforms, and open to all, offering the customer a 'solar pack' containing the photovoltaic solar panels most suited to their consumption profile.
• Ideas for eating better : Nutrition awareness raising campaign with students from year 5: fruits and vegetables in season, local produce and diet tips.
• Pic act 1 : Regular visits to residential homes for autonomous individuals in order to set up activities with older people to combat isolation. Statutes of an association being created. (WINNING PROJECT).
• INDEA BOX : Making a real breakthrough in energy management and performance in intelligent buildings. (Award winning project).
• Wind energy : Transform the air flow of a moving vehicle into electricity in order to store it in the battery and power features or requirements.
• Trigolons ensemble : Raising awareness in children about the disappearance of wildlife in a year 1 class and then a visit to the Biotropica zoo.
