The assessment of the 2015 year of two 'Cordées de la Réussite' (Roped Together for Success) programmes headed by ESIGELEC, is still exciting this year. These two cordées, Prép’Avenir for the Seine Maritime and Parcours Ingénieur-e Demain for the Eure unite 7 high schools and 6 colleges, the Ariane Vernon college joined the PID cordée last September.
In total, 44 student tutors got involved and more than 160 college and high school students from modest socio-professional categories were able to benefit from the actions. If we recall, the actions revolve around 4 themes :

                         	- Developing cultural openness (museums, concerts, cinema, exhibitions, theatre, fun or sports activities, etc.)

                            - Support (studies, occupations, opportunities)

						    - Developing information for orientation

                           - Developing methodology (expression, organisation).

The second half of this year saw the organisation of 4 leading events :

                      	      - The "Lightning Strike" concert which was attended by pupils from all establishments and which was held at the Espace Moineau in Rouen by Le Palais Royal Orchestra: punctuated by exchanges with the conductor and the musicians, the theme was The Passions of Handel (concert of arias and duets from Handel's opera). This was an opportunity for the young people and student tutors to discover baroque music and instruments such the harpsichord, theorbo, bassoon and oboe, etc.

                            - On 12 May, a restitution of scientific and technological work day run by mixed high school and college student groups was organised at the school's premises, at CISE. 14 groups came and went and offered quality presentations. The topics discussed were very diverse and offered an opportunity to mention, for example: soap manufacture, heredity, Alzheimer's disease and chemical experiments with curious names were also presented: the resistant soap-bubble, the elephant toothpaste and blue water. This event took place in the presence of heads of establishment of the PID cordée, members of the ESIGELEC management and students and was introduced by Gerard Barbaray in support of Equal Opportunities programmes of the Rectorate of Rouen. The day was completed by a 'water rockets' challenge which several teams from the Ariane College competed in.

						    - On 10 June, it was the students from the Prép’Avenir cordée who gathered for a trip to Ancient Rome during an outing which took them to the Panorama XXL in Rouen. A magical extravaganza which surprised and delighted not only the students but also the referent teachers and tutors.

                           - And finally on Wednesday, 24 June the photo exhibition opened, which was the result of a workshop conducted for the third consecutive year with the Robespierre College of Saint Etienne du Rouvray. This project brought together 5 schoolchildren and Léa Lecavelier des Étangs (a volunteer photography student). 20 photos taken and edited by them will be exhibited at ESIGELEC until the beginning of September, and then at the college. This exhibition was inaugurated by Etienne Craye, Director-General of ESIGELEC and Gérard Barbaray, the representative of the Rectorate of Rouen in the presence of Véronique de Badereau, Deputy Director at the Departmental Directorate of Social Cohesion, which finances, with the Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research, the 'Cordées de la Réussite' (Roped Together for Success) programmes.

Eisha Noor, Lucile, Manon, Muiz Caulked and Öznur, supported by Léa created/revealed their own universe where the stage production is an artistic revelation in itself. The imaginary, the real, the present, the past, the architecture and nature mingle together. A beautiful human and artistic adventure. This project conducted with seriousness and enthusiasm was punctuated with laughter, solidarity and sharing, etc. Thank you to all, actors and partners.
