On  Monday 9 and Tuesday 10 May 2016, ESIGELEC hosted "Rencontres Siemens  Industry 2016".
                        These  two days revolve around presentations of the technological offer to students on  9 May, and a conference for industry on 10 May in the Charliat amphitheatre,  followed by a forum.
                        The  theme for these meetings is "The future of industry/Industry 4.0: exploiting  the potential of digitalisation" and "Integrated Engineering: from  design to the optimisation of the production tool, via services".
                        A  talk by Alexandre Wahl, Director of the new development agency for Normandy,  (AND) closed the event. 
                      More  than 400 industrialists took part in the ESIGELEC event. During his opening  speech, Etienne Craye, the Director of ESIGELEC, reminded everyone of the university's  fundamental mission: all aspects of engineering education (training,  professional contracts, continuous training etc.), research & transfer, and  participation in the economic development of the region. It was also pointed  out that ESIGELEC's positioning is much like Siemens, with "intelligent  and connected systems that are the very essence of the industry of the  future". He concluded with these words: "Business is in our DNA, you  are at home here."
